The Cloud Company, LLC is a real estate and business development firm, with headquarters in downtown Hartford. Its focus is mixed use development projects, business development consulting opportunities and public/private partnership advisory assignments that assist in the transformation of urban centers and neighborhoods.

It engages joint venture partners, as may be appropriate for a project. Its most recent projects include the redevelopment of the historic University Club into commercial office space. It was also recently selected as co-developer for a seventy unit senior residential project in New Britain and co-developer for a 140 unit mixed use development in Meriden, both in partnership with Pennrose Properties, LLC, headquartered in Philadelphia. It has acted as development consultant to The Conference of Churches in its acquisition of the former Hartford Courant Arts Building and will guide the redevelopment of the building for community use.

Sanford Cloud, Jr. is the Chairman and CEO of The Cloud Company, LLC. Mr. Cloud served as President and CEO of The National Conference for Community and Justice for ten years (1994-2004). Prior to that, Mr. Cloud was a partner in the law firm of Robinson & Cole in Hartford Connecticut, Vice President of Aetna Life & Casualty and was chairman of its Corporate Responsibility Investment Committee. During his Aetna service, he led the Company's nationally acclaimed Neighborhood Investment Initiative, in partnership with HUD. Mr. Cloud served as State Senator from Hartford for the period 1977-1980. Mr. Cloud was born and raised in Hartford and serves on numerous Boards of Directors, both profit and non-profit organizations.

Adam M. Cloud was a principal of The Cloud Company, LLC, until December 2010. He was appointed Hartford's City Treasurer in early 2011 and elected to a four year term as Treasurer in November of 2011. Prior to the creation of The Cloud Company, Mr. Cloud served as a Managing Director of the Public Finance group of Advest, Inc.

In addition to Mr. Cloud's investment banking experience, he served as the Chairman of the Hartford Redevelopment Agency and Vice Chairman of the Hartford Economic Development Commission, and is President of the Board of The Knox Foundation. Mr. Cloud is a native of Hartford and is a graduate of Howard University having received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Juris Doctorate degree in law from the University.

Christopher R. Cloud, a native of Hartford, Connecticut, serves as a principal of The Cloud Company. He is primarily responsible for the business development efforts of the company. He is also a principal in the Connecticut based government relations firm, Camilliere, Cloud & Kennedy. He served as President & CEO of AMISTAD America, Inc., from 1997 to September 2005. In 2003 Mr. Cloud was selected as a Fellow of the Emerging Leaders Program of the Centers for Leadership and Public Values at the University of Cape Town and Duke University. Cloud was honored as the State of Connecticut's Tourism Ambassador of the Year in 2004.

Chris chairs the Advocacy Committee of The Greater Hartford Arts Council; chairs the Governance Committee of RiverFront Recapture; and chairs the Government Relations Committee of the Board of The Connecticut Institute for the Blind-Oak Hill.
